It was watches, horology and cocktails galore with Roger Dubuis at Tatler House

Roger Dubuis took centre stage over two evenings earlier this month at Tatler House, where the brand partnered with Tatler Singapore to host both its clients as well as friends of Tatler.

The intimate sessions each began with an insider’s look at the maison by Laurent Toinet, managing director, South East Asia & Oceania at Roger Dubuis, who shared insights into the manufacture’s watchmaking philosophy as encapsulated by its creed: Hyper Horology. The proof is in the pudding, of course, and a range of timepieces—including various references of the new Excalibur Monobalancier—were on hand for guests to admire and try on.

A mini masterclass centred on the Poinçon de Genève (i.e. Geneva Seal) was another highlight, with watchmaker Julien Miribel offering a deep dive into the finishings demanded of a watch’s movement in order to qualify it for the Geneva Seal, which most of Roger Dubuis’ timepieces are certified to.

And what’s an evening without a little merriment? Guests were also treated to a cocktail-making workshop hosted by Jon-Jon Bauyon, Tatler Singapore's manager of Tatler Dining and events, where they learned to create two bespoke drinks that they could then enjoy on the spot.

All in all, these were evenings well-spent among good friends, with superlative watches demonstrating Hyper Horology to boot.
