Beauty Director, Tatler Asia (Hong Kong)

Tatler Asia seeks a Beauty Editor to join a growing editorial team based in Hong Kong overseeing luxury news and features distributed in print and digital across Tatler’s eight regional markets: Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand. The ideal candidate will be a beauty media industry veteran with extensive experience in beauty editorial, writing and reporting, visuals, video, and social media.


  • Create and manage the editorial calendar for Tatler Asia beauty coverage
  • Commission, assign, and edit all beauty content and freelance work including but not limited to reportage, features, essays, styling work, makeup artistry, contributions from experts, profiles on beauty brands and ambassadors, social media posts, and videos
  • Plan and execute saleable editorial and video packages in close collaboration with the sales and marketing teams
  • Work closely with Growth team to scale the beauty audience and drive revenue through editorial affiliate sales
  • Conceptualize and produce photo shoots and video, including social media takeovers and social franchises
  • Represent Tatler Asia globally at industry events, in media, and on video


  • 4-5 years of print and digital beauty editorial experience, preferably at a luxury brand or publication
  • Evidence of a prolific writing and editing career, ability to turn out pristine copy
  • Strong working knowledge of best editorial and journalistic practices
  • Strong working knowledge of the traditional print as well as the new media digital beauty landscape
  • Strong relationships and network within the beauty industry: with PRs, brands, and influencers
  • Strong interest in luxury lifestyle, society, and events
  • A can-do, upbeat, solutions-oriented approach to work
