Writer (Singapore)

Edipresse Media Singapore, the Publishers of Singapore Tatler, Tatler Homes, Tatler Weddings, Jewels and Time, T-Dining and other leading lifestyle publications is looking for a Writer


To consistently produce newsworthy, compelling content across print, digital, social platforms that help cement Singapore Tatler’s standing as a leading luxury lifestyle brand.

Key scope and responsibilities: 

  • Write and produce stories for the Concierge and Life sections of Singapore Tatler
  • Learn and serve as the sub-editor’s understudy sub-editor to enhance editing skills
  • Coordinate photo shoots and interviews for feature stories (contact personalities and coordinate their schedules and requests with that of our shoot crew including but not limited to fashion director, photographer, hair and make-up artists)
  • Brainstorm and fine-tune shoot and story concepts with art directors and editorial team
  • Brief crew and photographer on story angle, shoot concept and requirements (e.g. brands to support, number of shots needed, type of shots needed)
  • Spin off print stories for the website, where relevant and necessary, and create original digital content, which can be in the form of digital stories, videos and gifs
  • Keep abreast of news on established, influential and interesting leaders of key industries in Singapore, as well as members of high society to feature in lead stories
  • Research for major social events (e.g. Charity galas, VIP dinners, private auctions/showcases, etc.) to feature each month
  • Represent Tatler at lifestyle events (includes hospitality, property, design, alcohol, food, cars, yachting) to build relationships with PRs as well as to source for new, newsworthy materials to feature in respective columns. Events include both local and overseas one (when invited)
  • Represent Tatler at society events (e.g. fundraising galas, balls and dinners; polo days; society birthday parties), when assigned or invited
  • Assist with administrative editorial matters as and when needed


  • Diploma in communications
  • Excellent command of English, ( verbal and written presentation skills)
  • Minimum two years’ experience on the editorial team of a magazine or website
  • Team player with a focus on productivity and deadlines
  • Editing and sub-editing will be an advantage
