Shangliu Tatler Unveils Its Generation T List 2018
[SHANGHAI – 6 July 2018] – Shangliu Tatler unveiled its inaugural Gen.T list at exclusive launch ceremonies in The Waterhouse at South Bund in Shanghai on June 29th and in the Blue Note Beijing on July 2nd.
After the great success of last year’s Generation T List of 100 elites from a range of industries being carefully selected, this year’s Generation T is expanding its community by adding 100 of China’s brightest and most talented people who have changed or shaped their industries in the past 18 months. The list, that gathers elites for cross-industry events, covers young talents under the age of 40 in 12 different fields, including media marketing, catering, retail and e-commerce, fashion, financial investment, recreation and sports, real estate, industry, manufacturing and energy.
SHANGLIU TATLER invited professionals and judges from an array of industries to nominate 100 individuals, all under the age of 40, who are passionate about their career, life and creativity. Those who were chosen showed that they had demonstrated great leadership qualities as well as being excellent speakers. They have accomplished extraordinary achievements and gained widespread attention in the past 18 months.
During the ceremonies in Shanghai and Beijing, the talents had the opportunity to mingle and converse so they could share their experiences and inspirations with each other. Mr. Michel Lamunière, Executive Chairman of Edipresse Media Asia, said: “Generation T is a fresh platform that celebrates the most established and successful individuals. At the same time, Generation T also cares about charity. This year, SHANGLIU TATLER co-operated with the WABC (World of Art Brut Culture) and invited students with special needs to create three artworks which were handed to the Generation T honourees by Mr. Michel Lamunière in recognition of their outstanding achievements and contributions to their respective fields, as well as to congratulate them on becoming a Generation T lister. The artworks were purchased by SHANGLIU TATLER in support of the WABC, a non-profit education programme for people with special needs to develop their artistic potential.
The after-parties gathered the talents in the cities, including celebrities, industry elites and young entrepreneurs to witness the opening of this summer event. At the Waterhouse at South Bund, one of the Generation T honourees, Huang Pei, ignited the party atmosphere by performing an R&B rap song. The Generation T honorees, following the performance, gathered on the second floor patio as the Generation T 2018 List was officially unveiled.
Accompanied by excellent music and dazzling lighting, the guests tasted the menus and snacks specially designed for the banquet and the party, pairing with champagne and fine wines that were specially provided by ACC Group. There were also creative activities for the guests to experience. Li Xiaobo, one of the 2017 Generation T honourees, prepared a unique Bobo Lee cake. Dior provided fashions from the latest season for the honourees on the night, and Bose, fitbit and Nespresso prepared a lucky draw for the guests. Brands such as Gulfstream also sponsored the event in celebration of the talented individuals on the Generation T List.
